When you are using a private repository, we collect emails so that you can communicate with the issue reporter. For privacy reason the email is not shared on the issue, however from the issue you can still communicate with the reporter. The reporter can also still communicate with you by replying with the confirmation email.
The most common reason is that you have not set the origin for your site. You can fix this by configuring it in the Issue Embed Dashboard.
